The boardwalk is a 2.2 km nature trail that travels the perimeter of Woolfrey’s pond and winds through tall stands of trees. You can observe wildlife in their natural environment and visit three lookouts that offer majestic views of Mount Peyton and the Lewisporte Harbour.
Resting along the shores of beautiful Junction Pond and nestled in a gorgeous boreal forest, you’ll find Notre Dame Provincial Park. This is a great spot to park your camper or pitch your tent as you explore the park and the nearby area. The freshwater pond features a lovely sandy beach and great swimming, canoeing and angling.
With 60 different species of birds and two permanent bird watching platforms, this 400m trail is a perfect way to relax, stretch your legs, and take in nature.

Hann’s Point Memorial, located off Tizzard street behind the Mosonic Lodge, was constructed in June 1996 in memory of soldiers who have given their lives during World War II.
Lewisporte is home of some great ATV trails, and they are only getting better, with new signage, brush removed, and trails groomed it is a fun and exciting way to spend your day.
Lewisporte is home to more than 10 km of marked and groomed ski and snow shoe trails at nearby Notre Dame Park and a 2-km trail in town. The Ski and Snow shoe trails are located behind the recreation complex. Grab your trail pass at the Lewisporte Town Hall and enjoy the sunny winter days.

Around 300 years ago, this site in Boyd’s Cove in Notre Dame Bay was a Beothuk village. From the interpretation centre, follow a 1.5 km groomed walking trail to the village site – today an outline of housepits is the only evidence of the Beothuk people who once lived here.
